In private woodland between Leeds and Bradford, our Forest School lets children explore freely. Nature play builds confidence, resilience, and curiosity - for a proper childhood, just as nature intended.

Get to know us

Yorkshire Muddings is a Forest School giving children freedom to explore, imagine and play outdoors. We value curiosity, discovery and joy, classrooms are under trees, by logs and among leaves. Mud kitchens, dens, swings, fireside stories and tree climbing support healthy development.

Our inclusive sessions suit all abilities and ages, following each child’s pace and interests. Whether exploring woods, finding bugs, building with natural materials or getting muddy, we create safe spaces to be free and be themselves.

This ethos guides everything we do, from Stay & Play and SEND-friendly sessions to Forest School programs at schools and nurseries. Contact us for how we can work together.

Yorkshire Muddings is based in a private woodland setting within Tong Garden Centre in Bradford.

Our address is Tong Ln, Tong Village, Bradford BD4 0RY, UK.

The woodland is easily accessible for families across Bradford, Leeds and the surrounding areas, with on site parking available at Tong Garden Centre.

In addition to our woodland sessions at Tong, Yorkshire Muddings also delivers Forest School sessions at locations and schools across Yorkshire. We work with early years settings, schools, community spaces and events to bring high quality outdoor learning and play to a range of environments. We also attend family events and seasonal gatherings, offering pop up woodland play experiences that invite children to explore, create and connect with nature.
